Grade percentage = earned points / possible points x 100. The result is a raw percentage before any class weighting rules.
Example
45 points earned out of 60 possible points gives 75%. If the assignment has a course weight, use your class rules to apply it.
Common mistake
Do not assume every grade item has the same weight. Exams, homework and projects may count differently.
